Clay Night Out

Clay is more fun in pairs! Whether it’s your BFF, your mom/dad, or that someone special…this DATE NIGHT or DUO DAY is a fun way to get creative and enjoy some quality time with a special someone.

This is a private, 3-hour class that will introduce you and your throwing partner to the basics of making pottery on the wheel. During the 3-hour course, we talk through clay prep, provide a throwing demo and then let the two of you get wild and create some pieces of your own. We will help provide instruction or guidance (and some emotional support) but since it is a DATE NIGHT we will also give you and your date time to hang out and create on your own!

This is a great introduction to the wheel if you’ve always been wanting to try it, but no previous experience is required. That said, please be warned that throwing pots on the wheel is not as easy as Demi and Patrick make it look (also they never show what happens when you get an itch on your nose and your hands are covered in clay!). So while we can’t guarantee a masterpiece on your first try, we do know that it will be a fun night for all.

The class is $100/person ($200/duo) and you can play and make as many pieces as you like. At the end of the class, you will each choose two items to keep. Your work will be glazed, fired, and ready for pickup within a few weeks. If you’d like to keep more than two pieces, there will be an additional charge of $10 per additional item. 

All DUOS are welcome! But please note that while we’d love for an Auntie and her favorite niece/nephew to join us (meaning that kids are totally welcome), we do require our wheel DUOS to be over the age of 10 years old for this specific class with the capacity to participate for up to 3-hours with you. Class Notes:

• 2 seats are available per workshop, or we can host up to 4 people at one time if you want to double date/double duo!
• The class is $200 for two participants for the 3-hour workshop.
• While we are working on getting our calendar set up, we will message you after you book to schedule a day and time for your workshop (limited spots available for October/November available currently).
