Beginners Watercolor Workshop with Kris Goodie

Fall in love with watercolors! Join watercolor artist Kris Goodie for a relaxing and beginner-friendly watercolor workshop focused on color, layering and creative exploration.

What you will learn:

Color mixing fundamentals
Water control and washes
Layering techniques
Beginner watercolor workflow

Each participant will use a Viviva Watercolor Set during class, and have the ticket option to purchase the set at a discount. Whether you’re brand-new to watercolors or looking for a refresher on core techniques, you’ll leave with a finished piece and the confidence to keep painting.

About the Instructor

Kris Goodie is a watercolor artist recognized for their highly detailed portraits of the LGBTQ+ community. Raised in Alaska, they began painting at age five, inspired by the state’s dramatic light and landscape. After earning a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley (2023), Goodie moved to the North Bay, where their work has been featured in galleries throughout Northern California. They now paint the historic, vibrant streets of Vallejo while continuing an ongoing portrait series exploring identity and belonging.
